Integrated Striking

In addition to our core programs in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), we offer martial arts-based classes that focus on developing balance, fitness, and agility.  If you have always wanted to try martial arts, or are just looking for a way to get physically and mentally fit, these are the classes for you.

Integrated Striking

Looking for a great cardio and strength workout that will keep you mentally engaged? This is the class for you!  Learn the basics of martial arts striking and self-defense while improving your fitness, balance, and agility. Professor Tyrone Angolia presents his unique and diverse training style, integrating elements of Capoeira, Kung-fu, Muay Thai, Boxing, and Stick Fighting.  Drawing on his extensive experience inside and outside of the ring, Professor Angolia teaches a class that blends high-quality technical instruction with a great workout.  Boxing gloves are recommended, and available for purchase a the gym.

Classes feature a mix of pad work, bag work, sparring drills, and techniques to move from striking to takedowns and joint locks.

Professor Tyrone

Tyrone Angolia began training in Praying Mantis Kung Fu in 1994 and was fortunate enough to train with his Sifu for the next ten years. In 2003 he became a successor of the Chen Zhen Yi lineage of 7 Star Praying Mantis Kung Fu. In 2007 Tyrone began training MMA and then started to compete the following year. Thoroughly enjoying competing in MMA matches naturally led him to training in Jiu Jitsu.

Tyrone began training with Professor Ben Baxter in 2009, and  currently holds the rank of 1st degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He currently teaches at both Performance Martial Arts in Eugene and at here at Precision Martial Arts in Corvallis Tyrone is a multiple time IBJJF Medalist, and brown belt American National Champion.

Tyrone’s path to excellence is paved by helping his students increase their kinesthetic awareness, neuromuscular connection and overall muscular endurance through martial arts and conditioning.

  • 2012 – IBJJF Pan American silver medalist (blue belt)
  • 2013 – Oregon Open silver medalist (purple belt)
  • 2014 – IBJJF Seattle Open bronze medalist (purple belt)
  • 2014- IBJJF Master’s Worlds bronze medalist (purple belt)
  • 2015 – IBJJF Las Vegas Spring Open gold medalist (brown belt)
  • 2015 – IBJJF American National: Gold Medalist (brown belt)
  • 2015 – IBJJF Master World: Bronze Medalist (brown belt)
  • 2016 – IBJJF Seattle Open: Silver Medalist (brown belt)
