Instructor Bio: Demian Hommel
I am a Professor of Geography at Oregon State University, and I intend to bring an educator’s mindset to my classes at Precision Martial Arts. While living in Thailand for four years to complete my graduate and doctoral research, I trained at a wide range of camps across the country, analyzing the diverse methods and the strengths of different systems. I’ve spent decades distilling those international experiences into a clear, teachable method designed to help you build applicable skills and confidence.
My teaching philosophy is pragmatic and evidence-based: I believe that with structured support and consistent effort, anyone can become a proficient striker. My goal is to break down the technical nuances of Muay Thai to make them accessible, effective, and rewarding.
