Competition

Competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is one of the most powerful ways to accelerate your growth on the mat. A tournament puts your technique under real pressure and reveals where your game is strong and where it needs work. Beyond the learning benefits, competition lets us practice maintaining composure under stress, and moderating the pressure we put on ourselves. Win or lose, competitors in BJJ walk away with lessons that just can't be learned in the gym.
Competing is absolutely not required for our gym members, and people do progress through the belt ranks without ever competing. However, we encourage every adult student to try competitions at least once, not because winning matters (though it is fun!) but because of what you will discover about yourself and your BJJ game in the process.
Kids BJJ competitions offer a safe, structured environment where children learn how to handle both winning and losing with grace. Competing teaches kids to manage nerves, stay focused, and trust in their training. Whether your child wins gold or loses every match, they will walk off that mat having done something brave. The Precision coaches will support every child who wants to compete and help them celebrate the courage it takes just to show up.
