No Gi Jiu Jitsu

No-Gi Jiu Jitsu at Precision emphasizes agility, body control, wrestling integration, and technical precision without the use of traditional gi grips. Led by Professor Tyrone Angolia, our no-gi classes focus on postural strength, positional dominance, pressure, and fluid transitions for practitioners at every level.

No-Gi is an increasingly popular style of Jiu Jitsu and can serve as a natural bridge to other combat styles such as Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) with development of grappling, clinch work, and ground control skills. Students in our no-gi classes develop strong fundamentals in hand fighting, takedowns, scrambles, guard passing, submissions, and submission defense. Led by third-degree black belt Professor Tyrone Angolia, our no-gi program builds well-rounded athletes who understand when to control, when to advance their position, and when to go for the finish.

Our No-Gi Class (Tuesdays & Thursdays) is designed for adult practitioners of all levels. Without the gi and fabric grips, the pacing of matches accelerates and control must come from body positioning, underhooks, head and wrist control, and pressure. Students learn to navigate scrambles, attack leg locks, apply chokes with correct technique, and maintain positional dominance throughout fast-moving exchanges.
